Bach flower remedies

Flower remedies were discovered by the doctor and homeopath Edward Bach (1886-1936). By using spring water and sunlight to draw out their healing qualities, he found that various wild flowers could be used to soothe and balance the mind and emotions. The remedies are taken as drops on the tongue. They are natural, tasteless, completely safe and do not interfere with any other kind of medication or treatment.

There are 38 different remedies, each one relating to a specific state of mind. Different combinations can be used for all kinds of unwanted moods or states of mind, or simply to help us through life’s ups and downs. Below are some examples of situations in which the remedies can be helpful:
Physical symptoms caused by stress e.g. eczema, headaches
Mood swings e.g. pre-menstrual tension, menopause
Childhood difficulties e.g. temper tantrums, hyperactivity
Stressful situations e.g. interviews, exams, speaking in public
Shocks and difficult times e.g. bereavement, bad news, social or work pressures
